Interesting Facts of Food

There are always some interesting facts about different foods, here are some.

   1. Bitter Cucumber :The bitterness of cucumber can be removed from it,

                How To Do It : Cut the both ends of cucumber and rub them on the cut portion about 10 - 15 minutes, till white colour foam forms, wash the cucumber, the bitterness is removed from it. 
    
   2. Salty Curry : Extra salt can be balanced,

               How To Do It :  If the taste of salt is more in your curry, it can be balanced by adding some potatoes in it, or by adding some small lumps of dough.
   3. Skin : Skin of most fruits and vegetables are more nutritious then fruit and vegetable.

  4. White Rice: While preparing, to make it fluffy and tender, add a spoon of ghee or lemon juice to it, it makes the rice tender,  by adding lemon rice rice will look more white and beautiful.

  5. Jaggery and Sugar: While preparing any dish(curry, rice item or any snack) using tamarine paste or water, use some amount jaggery, which adds  the taste. And same while preparing dishes with lemon juice, use some sugar, which gives the taste to the dish.
